Public Campgrounds

These are generally located in National or Provisional Parks away from the towns and cities; they are generally surrounded by nature and often close to a creek, lake, or ocean. They offer larger sites with more privacy but usually without amenities such as showers, flush toilets, Wi-Fi or phone reception.

Private Campgrounds

These are usually outside of the National and Provincial Parks, they can still be in a more natural setting, but most are close to towns, cities, and activities. They are generally smaller sites offering less privacy but offer full hook-ups, and more amenities such as laundry facilities, showers, a store, pool, Wi-Fi and mobile phone coverage.
