60 Minute Balloon Flight

Your adventure begins pre-dawn, with the balloons inflation as the sun lights up the rugged MacDonnell Ranges. Whilst floating gently in the air you will appreciate the vast remoteness, scenery and wildlife of the Australian outback. Wildlife, particularly big red kangaroos are seen nearly every day as your balloon crosses spinifex grasses, mulga scrub and cattle stations. This Alice Springs tour includes return transfers and a glass of sparkling wine.

Palm Valley 4WD Outback Safari

Travel through the West MacDonnell Ranges to Hermannsburg, an Aboriginal community and historic precinct which is renowned for its Aboriginal art collection and the works of Albert Namatjira.

Travel down the bed of the Finke River, one of the oldest water courses in the world, into Palm Valley. See spectacular rock forms, white sands and an oasis of rock pools and palm trees. Some plants such as the cycad and 'Livistonia Mariae' (cabbage palm) are known world-wide as relic plants and are unique to Central Australia. Visit the spectacular rock formation known as the Amphitheatre.

Enjoy a picnic lunch then on the return journey relax and enjoy the changing colours of the magnificent West MacDonnell Ranges in the afternoon light.

Spectacular Outback scenery and photo opportunities as we travel along the magnificent West MacDonnell Ranges, stopping at historic sites, enjoy beautiful walks at Simpsons Gap, Standley Chasm (for morning tea), the Ochre Pits, and Ormiston Gorge for lunch and walk or swim.

Next stop is Glen Helen, then on our way back we visit Ellery Creek Big Hole (for afternoon tea). Ellery Creek Big Hole is one of Central Australia's most pristine waterholes, so don't forget your swimmers in the warmer months.

The panoramic landscapes of the West MacDonnell Ranges are extraordinary, for their immensity and the spectacular array of sunburnt oranges, maroons and purples on display. To truly appreciate the West MacDonnells, you must explore the ranges' rugged gorges, gaps and chasms to experience the unspoiled serenity of this region. Sunset Camel Ride
