Kuala Lumpur is the perfect introduction to Asia. With one of the most iconic skylines in the Far East, KL (as the locals call it) is famous for its colourful markets and modern shopping complexes.
Over time the city has matured into a place full of juxtapositions - a mix of east and west influences. The architecture blends impressive modern skyscrapers with colonial buildings, temples and mosques.
Towering over Kuala Lumpur, the Petronas Towers pierce the city skyline with their 88 floors. That's an incredible height of 452 metres. Not for the faint hearted, you can visit the Observation Deck on level 86 for undisturbed floor-to-ceiling views across the city. On the way back down, make sure you walk the Skybridge that links the two towers together and provides a stunning vantage point.
