Also known as Maramba, the historic British colonial city of Livingstone in Zambia is a tourism centre for the nearby Victoria Falls, Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park and the Zambezi River. Once a grand Edwardian town, Livingstone is currently experiencing a revival with many luxury lodges, hotels and tour operators establishing themselves in and around the town and along the Zambezi River. This romantic destination is rich in culture and history, with a host of adventure and adrenaline experiences to choose from including: bungee jumping, abseiling, gorge swinging, white water rafting, kayaking, canoeing and jet boating. If that sounds a bit too adventurous for your liking, there are countless relaxing activities on offer such as visits to The Livingstone Museum, microlight or helicopter flights over the falls, and game drives in the impressive Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park.
