In the city of Penticton, the SS Sicamous is a paddle steamer that houses a museum. In the arid southern part of the region, the town of Osoyoos is home to the Osoyoos Desert Centre. The centre has displays on the area's desert ecosystem, plus a boardwalk through grasslands.
