Sunset Guided Walk

At 7:00pm from 01 October-30 April (4:30pm 01 May-30 September) join your guide to commence a Sunset Guided Walk. The walk comprises of a choice of two tracks one on Tongariro and one on Mt Ruapehu. This walk is one of either a return trip to sodasprings on Tongariro or a loop to Meads Wall on Ruapehu. The beauty of these two options is the ability to comfortably watch the sun set in an Alpine environment with our guides talking about the area with their local knowledge of geology, volcanology and New Zealand cultural history. A stunning time of day with great sunset lighting in a majestic setting. Tour concludes at approximately 9:00pm 01 October-30 April (6:30pm 01 May-30 September), back at which time accommodation drop offs will commence.

The Lavender Run

JetBoat down the Whanganui River challenging the rock strewn white water rapids and enjoying the breath taking scenery of farmland and bush clad hills and gorges. Wander through the lavenders at Lauren's Lavender Farm and Cafe and enjoying the view of the river and surrounding native bush. Tour includes: Guided JetBoat tour, Visit to Lauren's Lavender Farm and Café.

5 Tunnel Tour by Rail Bike

Designed for comfort, the RailBike is your personal time machine carrying you through tunnels and over bridges steeped in history. Experience the first 16km of the line and travel through 5 tunnels including the longest tunnel (1.5km) before stopping for light snack and returning on the rails back through the 5 tunnels (bonus!) to the start point. Cruise through stunning hill country farms and native bush.No previous cycling experience required, but you'll need some energy to apply pedal to metal. You will arrive back feeling a real sense of accomplishment!
