On arrival at your chosen city this morning, you will be met and transferred to the motorhome depot to collect your vehicle. Continue your journey to Lake Bled, an emerald lake surrounded by mountains boasting picture-perfect scenery. This small lake has all the ingredients for the perfect getaway … a castle perched high on a hillside, a pretty little island to visit, hiking and cycle trails, and secluded swimming spots. Your campsite for the next 4 nights is set at the foot of the Julian Alps and is directly on the shores of the lake. This evening, meet your Tour Hosts and fellow group members at the campsite restaurant for a welcome drink and meal.

Enjoy some fantastic, included excursions during your stay. On day 2, a coach will transport you to the mile long Vintgar Gorge, carved out over the centuries by the Radovna River. Here you will join a guided tour by foot, the trail featuring a variety of walkways and wooden bridges. In the afternoon, enjoy a traditional Pletna boat trip to the tiny, tear-shaped Bled Island with its unmistakable landmark, the Church of the Assumption. Day 3 is a free day to explore at leisure and on day 4, travel by coach to the nearby city of Ljubljana, Slovenia’s capital. Enjoy a locally guided walking tour through the Old Town with plenty of time to explore its many museums and expansive green spaces, including Tivoli Park.

Distance: 198km (123miles)

Leave Slovenia today & return to Zagreb for a 3-night stay. A full day trip to the Croatian capital is included during your visit, together with an English-speaking guide. Explore the city highlights by coach and foot and enjoy time at leisure to discover the local sights at your own pace. During your stay, a visit to the medieval town of Samobor is recommended. Along with its baroque architecture, it is also well known for its cuisine and craft tradition.

Distance: 127km (79miles)

Travelling further into Croatia, arrive at Plitvice Lakes National Park for a 2-night stay. Granted World Heritage status in 1979, this area of exceptional natural beauty is known for its 16 terraced lakes interconnected with a series of waterfalls that extend into a limestone canyon. It is set in deep woodland populated by deer, bears, wolves, boars and rare bird species. Walkways and hiking trails wind around and across the water and an electric boat links the 12 upper and 4 lower lakes.

Distance: 140km (87miles)

Journey south towards Sibenik and on to the small Dalmatian village of Pakoštane, nestled between the salty Adriatic Sea and the freshwater Vrana lake. Your campsite for the next 7 nights is situated directly by the sea and is a short walk from shops, bars, restaurants and watersports facilities. It is located in a picturesque setting among the 100 islands that comprise the Kornati National Park. Day 11 is free to explore nearby surrounds or sunbathe on the local beaches.

On day 12, enjoy a full day excursion by coach to two World Heritage sites. In the morning, enjoy a local guided tour of the lovely old town of Trogir with free time to explore. In the afternoon, we visit Split, Croatia’s second largest city, known as ‘the most beautiful city on the Mediterranean’ with its stunning Roman architecture. The dramatic coastal mountains act as the perfect backdrop to the magnificent turquoise waters of the Adriatic. As well as guided tour, there will be plenty of leisure time to explore this buzzing and energetic city. On day 13, enjoy an evening excursion to the Dalmatian capital of Zadar and uncover the many wonderful historic buildings and squares on your guided tour around the old town. There’s free time to explore and have dinner at your leisure before returning to the campsite.

On day 15, travel by coach to the small fishing village of Skradin and take a boat trip into Krka National Park. It is a magical place of waterfalls and gorges and you will learn about the old traditions and different ways of life as you walk through the spectacular scenery with your guide. You’ll view the impressive Skrandinski Buk waterfall, the park’s largest, where you have the opportunity to swim in the lower lake, a popular swimming spot or alternatively, enjoy a break at the nearby cluster of historic mill cottages that have been converted into craft shops and eateries. There are 2 completely free days to experience and delight in the local surrounds.
